From Paralegal to Director: Celebrating Melissa Cruickshanks’ Appointment to Director and Journey at HRS Family Law Solicitors
HRS Family Law Solicitors is delighted to announce the appointment of Melissa Cruickshanks as a Director of the firm, marking a significant milestone in a career defined by dedication, hard work and exceptional leadership.
Melissa’s journey with HRS began in 2010 when she joined the Dudley office as a Paralegal shortly after graduating from the University of Wolverhampton with a First Class degree. From the beginning, she demonstrated a strong commitment to both her clients and colleagues, quickly establishing herself as a valued member of the team.
After moving to the Bearwood office, Melissa was awarded her training contract and worked closely alongside Managing Director Clive Rebbeck. During this time, she developed the knowledge, skills and practical experience that would shape her future career. In 2013, Melissa qualified as a Solicitor after completing her training contract within 18 months and continued to build an impressive reputation within the firm.
Throughout her time at HRS, Melissa has undertaken a number of important roles, including Advocate and Head of the Care Team. Her ability to combine legal expertise with compassion and professionalism has made her a trusted advisor to clients and a respected leader within the business.
Following a period away from the firm, Melissa returned to HRS in 2022 as our Head of Legal. Her impact was immediate. Through her leadership, commitment to excellence and work ethic, she has helped drive the firm’s continued success and growth.
Melissa’s appointment as Director is a natural progression and recognition of the immense contribution she has made to HRS over the years. Her career path reflects the opportunities available within the firm for talented individuals who are committed to excellence and passionate about family law.
