HRS Family Law Solicitors have opened 20 offices in 16 years. We plan to open two more by the end of 2020. That is 25 + new jobs in the next business strategy period.

In addition, every firm has an ongoing need for good staff because people move on for a variety of different reasons. Whilst our staff retention is better than most, we at HRS nevertheless are always on the look-out for good staff.

Paralegal

Location: Any | Hours : FULL TIME/PART TIME | Salary: TBC

At HRS we aim to award at least two training contracts per annum. These contracts are given to the pick of our paralegals, usually after 12 months with the firm. Unlike many firms we pay for the mandatory courses that are undertaken during the two year training contract. Paralegals are expected to undertake a wide variety of duties that include face to face client contact and file running. Under close supervision to ensure high standards and career progression we at HRS consider the paralegal role to be essential to the development of the firm and the high level of customer satisfaction for which we have become known.

Solicitor

Location: Any | Hours : FULL TIME/PART TIME | Salary: TBC

Qualified Solicitors and Legal Executives are employed in each of our five offices, Birmingham, Bearwood, West Bromwich, Walsall and Dudley. We have Supervisors with at least 10 years post qualification experience and specialist knowledge. They are assisted by Solicitors and fee earners who have chosen to specialise in family law. At HRS we encourage career progression because it is through ongoing skill development and training that we grow as a firm. Solicitors are encouraged to study for and attain membership of Law Society specialist panels such as the Children panel or the Family law panel.

Receptionist

This role is key to the ongoing success of the firm. Our business model calls for new offices to be opened in order to service client need in each local area of the West Midlands, and in due course, beyond. Consequently, we have more need than most law firm’s for reception staff. Experienced or not. Keen to learn or leading a team. Either way we would like to hear from you.

Office Junior

The reason why HRS is able to offer such good customer service at competitive rates is because we have junior admin / support staff at each of our offices to help the staff in all aspects of delivering an excellent legal service. Be it photocopying, delivering documents or just tidying up after a productive day at work, we are always on the look-out for people hoping to start their career with an interesting and busy role.

Work experience

At HRS we know just how difficult it can be for young people aspiring to become lawyers, or otherwise, to get a foot on the ladder. We were in your position once too. That’s why we have continuous spaces for work experience at each of our five offices. If you are a school leaver, a student or simply wanting to return to work and feel that you would benefit from some experience then please get in touch. We entertain proposals for a day a week, a block of one, two or more weeks and indeed longer term arrangements.
